THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF CONSEQUENCES, GOOD AND BAD.  AKA REINFORCEMENTS AND PUNISHMENTS.  PERSONALLY, I LIKE TO CALL CONSEQUENCES MOTIVATORS, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY DO.....THEY MOTIVATE US TO WORK FOR WHAT WE WANT AND AVOID WHAT WE DISLIKE.  WHILE THERE ARE GENERAL MOTIVATORS WE USE IN DOG TRAINING, EACH DOG IS DIFFERENT.  LEARN WHAT MOTIVATES YOUR DOG.

A REINFORCING MOTIVATOR WILL INCREASE THE PROBABILITY OF A BEHAVIOR REOCCURRING.

     EXAMPLES OF REINFORCING MOTIVATOR:

     FOOD

     PLAY

     PHYSICAL AFFECTION

     PRAISE

     FREEDOM

A PUNISHING MOTIVATOR DECREASES THE PROBABILITY OF A BEHAVIOR REOCCURRING.

     EXAMPLES OF PUNISHING MOTIVATORS:

     VERBAL CORRECTION

     PHYSICAL CORRECTION

     TASTE DETERRENTS

     REMOVAL OF FREEDOM

     REMOVAL OF PLAY/TOYS

     REMOVAL OF AFFECTION/ATTENTION

*THE REMOVAL OF ANYTHING YOUR DOG                    ENJOYS CAN BE USED AS A PUNISHMENT
